The ‘Three Day Dive into Energetic Medicine’ lives up to its name: we go deep, searching for the state of consciousness that underlies inner recovery and healing. Through meditation, singing bowls, movement, and energetic treatments, we connect with our deepest selves and with each other. Maybe we’ll discover that deep down, those two things are the same…

During three days, you’ll learn to work with energy at your own level, interspersed with energy medicine theory. Instructor Merel de Waard is an anthropologist and energetic trauma therapist. With decades of practical experience, a sharp and clear perceptive ability, and a backpack full of stories from different cultures, religions, and science, she helps you broaden your understanding of your energy field and the world behind it.

The course gives your intuitive development a practical foundation in earthly science, but also helps you connect your earthly knowledge with the larger spiritual reality you’re a part of. In other words, do you want to understand with both your heart and your mind? Experience and philosophize? Engage as many aspects of yourself as possible and feel the fundamental harmony within yourself and the deep resonance between you, the Other, heaven and earth? Then definitely come join us!

For everyone who wants to go beyond the basics—whether you work professionally with energetic healing modalities or you want to learn about the broader background out of personal interest. This course is also highly suitable for professionals from conventional healthcare fields who want to deepen their understanding of the energetic worldview that underlies alternative healing practices.

There is room to incorporate your own input into the picture that unfolds—for example, from your own discipline as a naturopathic therapist, or from previous training and/or life experience. The energetic treatments are adapted to your level. Are you a certified energetic therapist already? Then you can follow your own way of working during the retreat. Merel will observe and help you refine your work if you wish. The most important thing is that we can thoroughly “sink” (or dive) into the energy during these three days, so that we become more attuned so we can learn to give more powerful treatments.

The course is an indispensable starting point for / supplement to a program in conventional or complementary healthcare, and a fascinating adventure for anyone who wants to become acquainted with energetic medicine.

Day 1

The relationship between matter and energy
The energetic anatomy of the human being
The influence of stress and relaxation, fear and love, separation and unity on our health.
Chakras 1 and 7

What exactly does the connection between body and energy field look like? How can energy influence our cells and organs? What is the role of energy channels or meridians? How do chakras or energy centers relate to this? How do our energetic organs communicate with our hormones and neurotransmitters?

We experiment with movement, relaxation, and delve into emotion regulation with the help of energy and breath.

Day 2

Energy and resonance.
How effective are energetic treatment modalities?
What actually happens during energetic healing practices?
Chakras 2, 3 and 4

We practice resonance ourselves—in our own bodies, with each other, with singing bowls and meditation.

Day 3

Consciousness and perception.
Placebo effect and mind over matter.
The brain and energy
Chakras 5, 6 and 7

Are our senses only physical, or can humans do more than we think? How does that work and can it be explained? What do scientists actually say about it nowadays? What does it mean that energy is a carrier of information? What do our brains have to do with energy?

We discover our senses in a new way and find inspiration in very ordinary, extraordinary abilities.
